Description

This module introduces second year students to the theoretical basis and applied production practices of Instructional Design. The course covers foundations in key educational theories and learning approaches, as well as contemporary evaluative and design practices for the creation of accessible and effective instructional media resources.

Learning Outcomes

1. Development of knowledge on models of learning and theories of education
2. Development of critical analysis of instructional and educational media forms
3. Development of skills in evaluating and testing efficacy of instructive media
4. Acquisition of design and production skills necessary to create accessible and effective rich-media instructional materials
5. Development of established project design and management practices for creation of instructive media resources (ADDIE)
