Description

This year-long module is comprised of elective seminars offering the opportunity for students to develop their research and/or creative writing skills within a particular specialization, working within seminar groups under the direction of a single member of faculty. The students will be offered a choice of groups within the module at the beginning of the year. Students taking a creative writing seminar will be assessed for entry on the basis of a writing sample.

Learning Outcomes

1. Engage in increasingly focused research and reflection on a particular aspect of literature.
2. Demonstrate intellectual and/or creative independence.
3. Appreciate critical rigour and engage in disciplined thinking.
4. Demonstrate writing and presentation skills appropriate for their chosen specialization.
5. Show specialist knowledge in their area of choice.
