Description

The module aims to enable students to identify and analyse key issues in the areas of equality, diversity and inclusion of minority and ethnic groups in society.

Learning Outcomes

1. Students will be able to analyse the implications of catering for diversity in society and in schooling
2. Students will be able to identify the 9 grounds set out in the Equality legislation.
3. Students will be familiar with key EU and Irish Legislation on equality, diversity and inclusion in society and education.
4. Students will be able to examine the implications of educational inequality for individuals, society and the workplace and other educational contexts
