Description

The aim of the module is to equip participants with the curricular knowledge and transversal skills to lead positive curricular changes within their professional lives through the process of inquiry. Students will reflect on and develop their own entrepreneurial competencies, behaviours and attitudes by engaging with entrepreneurial thought and innovative pedagogies. Students will engage with the Business Model Canvas and Mission Model Canvas to understand the key building blocks of business strategy.

Learning Outcomes

1. Understand industry, academic and public entrepreneurship and the role of entrepreneurship in education.
2. Engage with the Value Proposition Canvas (VPC), Mission Model Canvas (MMC) or Business Model Canvas (BMC) in a setting of your choice.
3. Critically review appropriate literature as you visually create a Mission Model or Business Model.
4. Detail the steps taken from a business model/mission model perspective, to tackle an issue in your professional context and for a client/customer base.
5. Create a visual representation of the Business Model Canvas or Mission Model Canvas for your chosen project with the key building blocks.
6. Reflect on and critically evaluate personal knowledge, skills, behaviour and attitude.
