Description

In this module the student will gain experience in carrying out research on a project in the area of Environmental Science and Health

Learning Outcomes

1. Plan and undertake research, working as an individual, to achieve a greater understanding of an environmental problem or topic.
2. Use advanced laboratory instrumentation and/or computing tools to achieve the project aim.
3. Maintain an accurate and clear record of the research findings on a daily basis.
4. Communicate the results of the project to an audience by oral presentation.
5. Report the results of the research in a written thesis demonstrating an understanding of the results and the conclusions drawn.

Indicative Content and Learning Activities

A research project will be chosen by the student

The project will be carried out over a 12 week period.

On completion of the project, the student will present their findings both in an oral presentation and in a written report following guidlines provided
