Description

The purpose of this module is to provide students with a firm basic understanding of human behaviour in organisations. In this module students will develop knowledge about (i) individual behavior in the work setting, (ii) group processes and (iii) how these may impact on organisational effectiveness. The module enables students to analyse human behaviour in organisations and to identify solutions to organisational problems. Students are expected to attend lectures/tutorials, prepare for and contribute to class discussions.

Learning Outcomes

1. LO1 Explain the importance of an understanding of Organisational Behaviour (OB) in a diverse and changing world
2. LO2 Discuss the various OB models, theories and practical approaches
3. LO3 Discuss the social psychological influences on employee's well-being, performance, and work settings
4. LO4 Apply OB theories, concepts and methods in relation to the success and social responsibility of the organisation
