Description This module builds on EU Law (LG318) by exploring further constitutional, administrative, social and economic aspects of EU law and policy. The module aims to reflect critically on the nature of EU law and the place of Europe within the current debates about globalization and the ‘new world order’. The module covers study of the internal market and touches upon some of the recent developments in relation to Brexit. It addresses social policy in respect of the principle of equal treatment between men and women, the concept of Union citizenship and “third-country nationals”. Finally, the module introduces and analyses the role of the EU in regard to competition law and policy. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
