Description

This module considers and critically assess issues in European Union Law such as Brexit, the democratic deficit, GDPR, rule of law challenges, tax harmonisation and migration.

Learning Outcomes

1. Students learn to appreciate the structural and political challenges in resolving contentious EU legal issues.
2. Students can consider and apply European Union legal principles to fictional problems
3. Students can identify the EU legal issues that will arise in the future
4. Students can develop practical and theoretical perspectives on the legal challenges for the European Union
