Description

The aim of this module is to enable the student to develop an understanding of the structure, location and function of the systems of the human body.

Learning Outcomes

1. Understand the Principles of Human Physiology
2. Label the relevant anatomical structures within each system.
3. Summarize the functions of each system
4. Describe the major systems of the body
5. Understand the inter-relationship between systems in the maintenance of homeostasis.

Physiology of Endocrine system, Nervous system, Cardiovascular system, Respiratory system, Urinary system, Gastrointestinal, Immune system, Integumentary system, Skeletal system and Muscle Physiology

Homeostasis
Understand the inter-relationship between systems in the maintenance of homeostasis. Recall key homeostatic systems throughout the bodily systems and how their disruption can lead to disease
