None It is mandatory that students have 100%attendance. In order to complete a practice assessment students must have completed 80% of attendance. All outstanding hours must be completed to successfully pass the module. All assessment documentation must be submitted by the submission date. Time sheets, portfolios and pars must be submitted by the due date |

Description This module will provide the student with the opportunity to practice basic nursing skills under supervision in the real healthcare context. The student will be able to participate as a member of the nursing team and the wider multidisciplinary team. The student will be supported in the clinical area by the clinical nurse manager, registered nurses, a named preceptor, a clinical placement co-ordinator. The learning outcomes for this module are derived from year 1 Learning Outcomes prescribed by the Nurse Registration Standards and Requirements (NMBI, 2016) and encompass the 6 domains of nursing outlined. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Learning Outcomes 1. Practice safely, compassionately, professionally under supervision of a registered nurse 2. Assess, plan, deliver, evaluate patient centered care under supervision of a registered nurse 3. Communicate effectively with the health care team 5. Demonstrates the capacity to practice collaboratively, manage team, others and self safely with guidance from preceptor 6.
