Description

This module will prepare the student to manage acute injuries and illnesses. This will include surveying the scene, conducting an assessment, activating the emergency plan, implementing appropriate emergency techniques and procedures and implementing appropriate first aid techniques.

Learning Outcomes

1. LO1 Understand the pre-hospital care continuum in Ireland.
2. LO2 Demonstrate appropriate emergency care assessments
3. LO3 Demonstrate appropriate emergency care techniques for a range of illnesses and injuries in the acute setting.
