Description
The purpose of this module is to give student a detailed knowledge modern NMR and MS techniques. This will underpin examples that demonstrate why these have risen to prominence in the field of qualitative molecular analysis. Through worked examples the students will gain expertise in the application of the techniques in the identification of unknown molecular species.
|
Learning Outcomes
1. Explain in detail how the physical principles underlying NMR, IR and MS provide detailed information that permits the exploitation of these techniques in analysis. 2. 1D649F83-4A46-0001-77AD-9BA01A18AF00

Resit arrangements are explained by the following categories;
RC1: A resit is available for both* components of the module.
RC2: No resit is available for a 100% coursework module.
RC3: No resit is available for the coursework component where there is a coursework and summative examination element.
* ‘Both’ is used in the context of the module having a coursework/summative examination split; where the module is 100% coursework, there will also be a resit of the assessment
