Description The Project Management module introduces students to how projects are planned, performed, and managed across different stages from inception to completion. It gives students an understanding of requirements and practices regarding developing the schedule, resource utilisation, determining costs, managing risk, closing a project and related ethical issues. Learning Outcomes 1. Describe the phases of the Project Life Cycle 2. Develop a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), a Responsibility Assignment Matrix (RAM) and Network Diagram (PERT) 3. Utilise the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) project management methodology 4. Explain and identify Critical Path and Total Slack, Resource leveling and Resource-Limited Scheduling 5. Prepare a Risk Response Plan 6. Conduct a Post Project Evaluation 7. Summarise the responsibilities of a Project Manager and Skills needed and related ethical issues, and project management information systems 8. Contrast traditional Waterfall methodologies with Agile frameworks, demonstrating the ability to manage a "Product Backlog." 9. Apply professional communication strategies to manage client expectations and handle scope creep ethically. 10.
