Description

The purpose of this module is to improve the skills of reading, listening and writing in general English; To develop language learning strategies and techniques; To increase awareness of English-speaking cultures and societies. Materials used in this module are mainly pitched at CEFR level C1

Learning Outcomes

1. Use effective reading strategies and techniques when dealing with complex written texts
2. Use a wide range of commonly used lexical chunks and structures accurately and fluently
3. Plan, organise and produce appropriate written texts in a variety of contexts.
4. Extract information from reasonably sophisticated aural text.
