Description The module will focus on the listening and speaking skills necessary to meet the demands of undergraduate courses taught in an English-speaking academic environment. There will also be a focus on academic reading and writing skills as well as study and exam preparation skills. Students will develop their awareness of appropriacy and register in relation to their use of English in an academic environment. The minimum exit level for this module is B2:2 (CEFR) Compulsory Attendance: Module FC004 requires that students attend at least 80% of lectures. Where a student fails to do so, and in the absence of documentation to support extenuating circumstances, s/he will be required to present for a meeting with the Programme Chair, SALIS Teaching Convenor and/ or Module Coordinator in advance of attempting examinations/ assessments and/ or submitting coursework | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
