Description

This module, taught entirely through German, aims to develop students’ language competence and fluency in written and spoken production at an intermediate level. Students will encounter a variety of literary and non-literary texts as well as a range of audio-visual sources in order to develop reading and listening comprehension. Awareness and knowledge of culture and society in German-speaking countries are further consolidated. Moreover, teamwork and oral presentation skills are practised throughout the semester.

LO3 Communicate reasonably fluently orally on both familiar topics and some beyond their immediate personal experience, such as societal developments and cultural production in the German-speaking countries, and to express own points of view. Draw on relevant and appropriate vocabulary to express him-/herself on topics concerning German-speaking culture, popular culture, and related topics with some circumlocutions.
