Description

Human Development study of humans as they grow and develop over the life span, through time, in specific social situations and across cultures and contexts. This module will examine human development through the disciplinary lenses of Psychology, Sociology, and Philosophy. This module will introduce you to each of these disciplines and some of the perspectives and approaches they take in the study of humans develop across the lifespan and across different contexts.

Learning Outcomes

1. Demonstrate knowledge on how Psychology, Sociology, and Philosophy approach the study of Human Development.
2. Show awareness of how the three disciplines complement each other by providing different perspectives on human development.
3. Source and engage with academic sources in Psychology, Sociology, and Philosophy to develop knowledge on the broad themes in human development.
4. Develop competency in communication in human development, drawing on literature from at least one of the disciplines.
