Is é an bhunaidhm atá ag an modúl seo ná scileanna agus feasacht na mac léinn ar mhodhanna úsáide agus deartha na n-ilmheán a fhorbairt. Mar dhlúthchuid den mhodúl tugtar léargas ar fheidhmeanna pacáistí ilmheán chomh maith le léargas ar fheidhmeanna na n-ilmheán mar uirlis don ghnó agus don iriseoireacht, go háirithe sa mhargaíocht agus sa ríomhthráchtáil. Bíonn ról gníomhach ag an mac léinn sa mhodúl seo agus chuige sin ní miste don mhac léinn freastal rialta ar léachtaí, ar shaotharlanna agus ar sheimineáir an mhodúil.
