Module Title Creating Impact in a Changing World - Call for Proposals

Description

Students will develop cross-cutting competencies for sustainability that are relevant to achieving particular SDG goals. To this end, students will select one of the UN SDGs to focus on, according to their interests but also allowing a good variation of topics to be covered. They will focus on designing, simulating, testing, predicting for problem solving to generate impact. This is the ‘Apply’ level of Bloom’s, and relates to the design phase for that application.

Learning Outcomes

1. Analyse complex problems by making use of theories and techniques.
2. Create solutions in collaboration with other students based on analysis
3. Map and document a problem's causes and outcomes, the stakeholders involved, and the resources needed to develop sustainable interconnected social, political and technological solutions.
4. Apply theories of social and political change to understand and identify the drivers, consequences and indicators of global change.
5. Use systems thinking to identify, anticipate and understand the implications of possible solutions to global challenges.
