Description
To equip students to research and critique the field of radio podcasting, and to make their own podcast episode
|
Learning Outcomes
1. Research and analyse the podcasting radio landscape 2. Identify what makes engaging chat and narrative podcast series 3. Learn how to review and critique artistic work 4. Refresh skills in recording, voicing and editing for radio 5. Write accurate, fluent and engaging scripts 6. Identify topical stories and original news angles for specific radio audiences 7. Operate portable audio equipment to record interviews and location sound to a professional standard 8. Find and approach people in the news, obtain their consent, conduct interviews with due sensitivity in different circumstances, and record interviews 9. Use digital software to edit and mix recorded narration, interviews and location sound to a professional standard 10. Demonstrate mature judgement in applying legal and ethical standards 11. Demonstrate knowledge of the key aspects of project management including appropriate techniques for managing projects. 12. Develop a comprehensive project plan taking into account areas such as scope, budget, scheduling and risk.
