Introduction to video news gathering

Learning Outcomes

1. Demonstrate an understanding of the role of regulation and policy making in the fields of public service and commercial television
2. Evaluate the current debates in the media landscape in terms of fake news, diversity, and access to the public sphere
3. Learn how to source television news stories
4. Understand how to analyse and condense complex arguments
5. Master the skills of filming, reporting, voicing and editing
