Description

This module will provide both the skills and the mentoring needed to develop a major multimedia project. The module develops key competencies in group dynamics, creative development, project management and presentation, and research design. This module incorporates the processes of verifying and guiding MMA major projects, via presentation of proposed projects to a panel of staff.

Learning Outcomes

1. Identify current trends in Multimedia
2. Prepare and present a trailer, prototype, or demonstration of intent.
3. Appraise their own experiment in new media production or technique for viability in major project.
4. Deliver a pitch based on the original idea for the major project.
5. Develop original project ideas for the major project.
6. Choose a team for the project by identifying the key roles and skills needed.
7. Develop understanding of appropriate research methods for Multimedia projects.
8. Begin project management processes and planning for MMA Major Project.

RC2: No resit is available for a 100% coursework module.
RC3: No resit is available for the coursework component where there is a coursework and summative examination element.
