Description The module analyses and provides an understanding of the key physiological and metabolic responses to acute and chronic exercise. Learning Outcomes 1. Outline the key responses that occur to the various physiological systems during exercise including: pulmonary system, cardiovascular system, neuromuscular system and neuroendocrine system. 2. Explain the the fundamental principles of energy transfer during exercise. 3. Identify and explain various factors which influence the physiological responses to single and repeated bouts of exercise including: genetics, gender, age, training status, detraining nutrition, body position, exercise mode, intensity, duration and environmental factors. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
