Module Title Electronics for Physics' Teachers
Module Code PHY1053 (ITS: PS322)
Faculty Physical Sciences School Science & Health
NFQ level 8 Credit Rating 5
Description

Students will engage with teaching and learning of electronics and electric circuits through inquiry. They will learn about these topics themselves and learn about how this kind of learning can be used in the secondary classroom while incorporating different assessment strategies

Learning Outcomes

1. Develop teaching and assessment strategies to help second level students learn about electronics
2. Describe the behaviour of electric circuits qualitatively and quantitatively
3. Integrate assessment into teaching and learning
4. Research societal issues related to electronics
