Description

This module focuses on the theory and practice of clinical supervision. Candidates will engage in a critical reflection of the dominant theoretical approaches, conceptual models and modes of clinical supervision. Research studies examining approaches, processes, relationships and efficacy in supervision will be critically analysed. Dominant perspectives on clinical supervision practice will be critically examined in the context of real world supervisory environments. The emphasis in this module is on integrating knowledge, practice and research within the field of clinical supervision.

Developing knowledge of dominant models of clinical supervision and of adult learning theory as applied to supervisory work

Research
Critical analysis of supervision research to inform evidence-based practice

Module activities
As a non-attendance module, there will be online provision of slides, reading resources & students will engage in independent study
