Description

This module will provide an overview of key themes in liturgical theology and explore elements of ritual and liturgy across different traditions. The elements of liturgy - tradition, narrative, ritual, symbol and worship - will be studied and related to the experience of the participants.

Learning Outcomes

1. Exhibit awareness of the core elements of effective ritual across different Christian traditions.
2. Apply basic principles of Liturgical Theology to the preparation of a liturgical celebration.
3. Plan, prepare and participate in liturgies for a variety of occasions and seasons.
4. Evaluate the experience of liturgy in a range of contexts.
