Indicative Content and Learning Activities
Concussion and head injuries A comprehensive (and ongoing) examination of brain injuries, including but not limited to concussion. This evaluation will include, but is not limited to the following; neurocognitive evaluation, assessment of the vestibular and vision systems, cervical spine involvement, mental health status, sleep assessment, exertional testing, nutritional status, and clinical interview and referral to the appropriate medical provider when indicated. Clinical assessment of the face, head, hip and groin Management techniques Prevention and management of injuries to head, face, groin and hip Taping and strapping and introduction to foot orthotic techniques Taping techniques for the lower limb, upper limb and trunk, and introduction to foot orthotics. Principles of rehabilitation Introduction to general principles of rehabilitation and the development of individualised rehabilitation programmes as a member of the multidisciplinary team | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
