Module Aims
|
To expand management competences by examining how Information Technology can be used as a strategic asset to mould competitive strategies and to change organisational prcoesses. To address management issues surrounding the Information Systems Management function.

Learning Outcomes
|
On successful completion of this unit, a student will:
- Have developed an understanding of management's role in information systems planning and development of strategic directions;
- Be aware of how IT strategic directions can be integrated with an organisation's business and strategic planning;
- Understand the limitations of strategic planning; Be aware of current technological trends and their potential to impact on strategic planning.
