Module Aims
1. To provide an introduction to the area of structured exercise instruction. 2. To provide an opportunity to develop instructional skills necessary for the delivery of structured exercise sessions.

Learning Outcomes
After successful completion of this module students will be able to: 7 Explain the difference between structured and lifestyle physical activity. 7 Explain the current guidelines on physical activity requirements for health benefits, and know how to prescribe exercise for a variety of individuals in order to meet this requirement. 7 Demonstrate a factual knowledge of exercise prescription and practice. 7 Demonstrate how to plan, teach/demonstrate and evaluate an effective structured exercise session. 7 Demonstrate -both theoretically and practically- how to adapt exercise sessions for a variety of population groups.
