Module Aims
To provide evidence of how you are developing pedagogy using e-media. To consider the data required to make a judgement in terms of student learning.

  • Produce accounts of your learning through action research.
  • Demonstrate the use of e-media to support your learning.
  • Probide evidence to show how you are improving the learning of others through use of e-media.

Indicative Syllabus
  • Use of emerging media technologies to support a dialogic-collaborative approach to learning.
  • Relationship between learning theories and e-media.
  • The Internet and learning Internet workshops, Projects, Inquiry and WebQuests.
  • Group activity involving pre-production, production and post-production of video artefact to support teaching and learning. Video and pedagogy.
  • Introduction to Concept mapping/Mind mapping.
  • Use of animation to visualize abstract concepts.
  • Introduction to software categories.
  • Examination of the values that motivate you to improve practice, the claims about improvement and the evidence required.
  • Consideration of data required in order to make judgement in terms of student learning.

Assessment
The collaborative approach involves tutor, peer group and international educators. Assessment reflects the collaborative and interactive approach of the module. Assessment involves the presentation of supporting text to accompany the web-based artefact developed for the Educational Applications of Multimedia module.
