Module Aims
To provide students with a fundamental understanding of motor learning, control and development. Students will become familiar with relevant theoretical frameworks and gain practical experience through lab exercises. To promote independent study and written presentation skills.

Learning Outcomes
After successful completion of this module students will be able to: 1. Understand the relevance of motor control theory for the practitioner. 2. Be able to describe several different methods to assess motor skill learning. 3. Demonstrate a fundamental understanding of motor development and factors affecting motor development. 4. Based on the cognitive, affective and motor developmental stage of the individual discuss implications for motor learning and movement programs.
