To develop an understanding of the various roles of the United Nations and its specialist agencies and their interactions with rest of the international system.

Learning Outcomes
Students should acquire an insight into the history and evolution of the UN systemthe roles, powers and limitations of its principal institutions, departments and agenciesthe place of the UN in world politics
