Module Aims
|
On completion of this module and following a period of personal study the student will be able to:
?Demonstrate an understanding of the pathophysiological changes in the child during childhood illness
?Demonstrate the knowledge and clinical skills required to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate evidence based care, in partnership with the child and their family in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team in a variety of health care settings.
?Understand the evidence based principles of assessment and management of pain in children along the age continuum.
?Appreciate the need to support the child and family in their experience of ill health
