To evaluate a range of research approaches and methodologies relevant to the analysis, critique and understanding of mass communicationq To promote a critical and analytical approach to contemporary issues in mass communication To prepare students for work on their Dissertation with particular reference to theoretical contexts, choice of method, and use of information sources
