Module Aims
Module Aims: The purpose of this module is to increase the effectiveness of Exercise Scientists in facilitating physical activity adoption and/or maintenance through a brief intervention.

Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes: After the completion of this module, participants will have: 1.increased awareness of adherence issues in physical activity. 2.gained an understanding of an exercise consultation; its purpose and components. 3.gained an understanding of the characteristics of an effective Exercise Consultant 4.familiarised themselves with a framework for promoting physical activity through an exercise consultation approach. 5.had an opportunity to practice and develop some of the core skills integral to this method of intervention. 6.had an opportunity to evaluate their ability in the core skills involved in an exercise consultation. 7.increased their awareness of the ethical considerations of an exercise consultation.
