Module Aims
|
To provide students with an introduction to and an overview of database systems including database design, Entity Relationship data modelling, the relational model of data and SQL, as well as an overview of some database products.
|
Learning Outcomes
|
As a result of this course, students will be in a position to design and implement a database for real world application, covering all stages of the process from conceptual design and layout through to writing SQL for transactions. Students will also be very familiar with SQL.
