Module Aims

To develop an awareness of, and appreciation for the presence of diverse learning styles in today’s learners. To facilitate students to explore, examine and select advanced teaching strategies. To accommodate the students’ development and structuring of the various strategies to meet the needs of young learners. Becoming a critically reflective practitioner (active teacher/learner)



Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to…
  1. Identify and assess a range of learning styles and the multiple intelligences profile of individual learners
  2. Identify procedures for setting up and structuring advanced teaching strategies
  3. Summarise teaching models and classify teaching strategies accordingly
  4. Combine practice and theory to plan specific learning episodes
  5. Design, deliver and critically reflect on a learning episode that utilizes Drama as the primary teaching methodology
