Module Aims
To develop the students knowledge of the anatomy and functioning of the musculo-skeletal system and apply this knowledge to gain an understanding of the causes of musculo-skeletal pathologies related to poor work place practices.

Learning Outcomes
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the anatomy of the musculo-skeletal system
  • Demonstrate an understanding of factors that stress and strain the musculo-skeletal system
  • Demonstrate a knowledge of a number of work based musculo-skeletal pathologies
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the causes and prevention of selected musculo-skeletal pathologies.
