Module Aims:

To present current concepts and practical skills relating to the use of sports massage techniques

Learning Outcomes

After completion of this module students will be able to:

Demonstrate knowledge of principles and techniques of soft tissue therapies.
Demonstrate competence in common soft tissue therapies.
Demonstrate an understanding of the role of sports massage in preparation for exercise and recovery from exercise.
Demonstrate an understanding of the role of soft tissue therapies as part of a multi-disciplinary approach to treatment of soft tissue injuries.
