Module Aims: To introduce students to the study of international relations. To give them an awareness of the classic theoretical debates in IR Theory. To introduce the range of issues covered in contemporary IR, governance, development, security, development, foreign policy, which will be developed in more detail in other modules



Learning Outcomes

Learning Outcomes: Students will be able to place classic theories of international relations in their historical And political context. Students will have an overview of the range of issues currently involved in IR. Students will have had an opportunity to examine at least one topic in depth, with some Independent work.
