This module aims to teach the student

  • structure and function of muscle, ligament, tendon
  • structure and function of fascia
  • functional and surface anatomy of the neck
  • functional and surface anatomy of the lower limb
  • functional and surface anatomy of the spine
  • functional and surface anatomy of the pelvic girdle
  • anatomy of the lymphatic system
  • the anatomy of the thoraic wall and cavity
  • the anatomy of the abodominal wall and cavity
  • the anatomy of the pelvic wall and cavity


Learning Outcomes

After successful completion of this module the student will be able to demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of

  • The structure and function of muscle, ligament, tendon and bone.
  • Joint classification.
  • Functional and surface anatomy of the neck, spine, pelvic girdles, chest wall, abdomen and lower limbs.
  • Human posture.
