Module Aims
To develop the students ability to perform a qualitative analysis in sportTo develop and extend the students understanding of the biomechanical factors affecting sporting performance and functional movement. To introduce students to equipment and protocols in quantitative analysis. To be able to carry out an independent quantitative evaluation of either a sporting or functional movement biomechanically.

Learning Outcomes
Students will gain experience in the following: 7 Performing a qualitative analysis using video and multimedia tools 7 Critically examining and summarising current research and coaching manuals 7 Producing a biomechanical report for an athlete, coach or client. 7 Utilising biomechanical equipment for measuring movement 7 Designing, analysing and interpreting biomechanical data
