Module Aims
|
1) To introduce students to the key theories by which sociologists have sought to define and explain crime and conflict in modern society. 2) To critically examine the representations of crime and conflict in the media and to determine whether such representations are an accurate or distorted reflection of reality.3) To critically examine the effects (if any) of such representations on the public and by extension, judicial policy.
