Description

To give future managers and personnel specialists information needed to choose efficiency tools for selection and assessment; train the future personnel specialist and human resource specialist in the use, development and assessment of tests and other techniques used for selection and recruitment, internal and external.

Learning Outcomes

1. Critique the nature of the selection and assessment environment
2. Evaluate the various techniques of assessing applicants for positions in organisations
3. Explain the nature and processes of job analysis as the fundamental starting point of selection and assessment activities
4. Interpret the implications of validity and reliability issues for the testing context
5. Apply job anaysis techniques and make recommendations on suitable assessment procedures for organisations
