Description

This module will provide the student with the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills and attitude to appreciate research design, evidence based practice, critical appraisal and principles of developing a research proposal.

Learning Outcomes

1. Develop practice-related and research questions.
2. Apply the principles of evidence based practice in relation to an aspect of practice relevant to the student's own area of practice.
3. Discuss qualitative and quantitative research methods
4. Appraise research studies in the professional literature.
5. Discuss the principles of reporting and disseminating research findings and their application in nursing practice.
