Learning Outcomes 1. Describe the theoretical and practical implications of choosing a particular research method 2. Prepare a research proposal 3. Demonstrate the appropriate application of quantitative and qualitative techniques to research hypotheses 4. Employ an appropriate research method to a research question 5. Analyse qualitative data: Code and Classify; Interpret and Represent 6. Report on a qualitative research study 7. Evaluate the diversity of people s experiences with the Internet as information resource, place, social context, and medium. 8. Assess the quality of people s experiences with the Internet when engaged in a variety of activities such as e-learning, e-shopping, making friends. 9. Apply knowledge of social and psychological processes, such as categorization, coordination, communication, and participating in groups and communities, to design and evaluation of activities on the Internet 10. Evaluate how the Internet mediates a variety of cultural practices (e.g. work, shopping, education, making and sustaining friendship, play). 11. Conceptualise relationships between the Internet, self, identity, and experience. 12. Evaluate empirical research on people s experiences with the Internet. 13. Explain the principles, interrelationships and challenges of enterprise wide IT systems for organisations today. 14. Demonstrate how business strategy and organisational considerations direct the evaluation and selection of Enterprise Systems 15. Differentiate the various models and strategies for enterprise architecture and enterprise integration 16. Evaluate the use of ERP components in support of organisational functions, including Production, Purchasing, Inventory Management, Sales & Marketing, Finance and Human Resources 17. Determine how to achieve business value through and during Enterprise System implementation 18. Analyse and evaluate the concepts and best practices strategies of ERP extensions for Suppliers, Customers and Senior Management. 19. Produce solutions to a case study which combine organisational and management behaviour 20. Demonstrate specific competency in their core study area (operations, internet systems or information systems strategy) 21. Research additional material to support recommendations 22. Preparation of the report requires participants to review course modules and to identify additional relevant sources/documentation to support the recommendations being advanced.
