Description

This module will explore: the changing context within which emergency management operates; the interdisciplinary nature of issues which arise in the area; and the nature of current emerging issues in emergency management.

Learning Outcomes

1. ascertain the most significant recent and emerging issues in emergency management
2. persuade their organisations of the need to ensure that emerging issues are integrated into existing planning and preparedness strategies
3. monitor and evaluate the dynamic nature of the field of emergency management
