Description

This optional module will allow students on the Graduate Diploma in Education finish at level 9 through the completion of a professional e-portfoloio.

Learning Outcomes

1. demonstrate a systematic understanding of the inovative developments in teaching and learning.
2. show that they have a critical awareness of current problems and/or new insights, generally informed by new developments in foundational and professional theories of education.
3. demonstrate a range of standard and specialised research or equivalent tools and techniques of enquiry related to testing and analysing pedagogies in professional placement.
4. Select from complex and advanced skills across education studies.
5. develop new skills to a high level, including novel and emerging techniques in teaching and learning.
6. act in a wide and often unpredictable variety of professional levels and ill defined contexts related to post-primary education.
