Description

This module will introduce students to authoring skills and concepts inherent in production of non-linear media. To provide students with necessary technical and organisational skills to begin producing multimedia projects combining text and graphics with audio and video clips; including simple linear animations and small navigable projects. The module will pay particular attention to giving the student the key principles so these skills and knowledge can in turn be mapped across and re-used with a variety of other applications/situations. Students will learn and be assessed via group work.

Learning Outcomes

1. Produce rich media projects combining text, graphics, audio and video.
2. Plan a project for navigation.
3. Develop interactive mixed-media projects
4. Identify appropriate media assets for the chosen delivery platform.
5. Gather and Manage assets effectively.
6. Integrate multiple media types into a project.
7. Take responsibility for their role in a group project.
8. Identify and allot key roles in a mixed media production.
