Description

Module Aims: To extend upon the students knowledge and abilities in understanding the biomechanical factors affecting injury (cause and prevention), how they can be assessed and reduced..

Learning Outcomes

1. Explain the relationship between relative excessive loading on a tissue and increased risk of tissue injury.
2. Discuss the underlying cause of injury in at least one sport
3. Critically discuss the importance of biomechanics in injury causation and prevention
4. Explain how biomechanical functional abnormalities may predispose to injury during gait
5. Demonstrate a proficiency in presentation skills
